This is the place where you will be able to find all of the information about Year 5. We will update this area regularly with homework and our termly overviews. Please check the newsletter for updates and key dates. You can always arrange an appointment with the Office to meet with us should you need any further information.
Children to read five times a week and to write a sentence each day in their reading records about what they have read. Then, once a week, children need to choose a new work from their reading book, write its meaning and a sentence using that word. Reading records will be checked every Monday and should be handed to your child's class teacher.
Here is a list of reading books that may interest your child.
There is no set maths homework this week. Homework will be next be set after the Christmas break. Use this time to practise number bonds and times tables.
Spellings to be learnt and tested over two weeks so that they can be embedded. New spellings will be tested on 14.12.2017
