Participation for all

Year 6 Enterprise Mile - On Friday 3rd November 2017 our year 6 children took part in a sponsored mile to raise money for their trip to London. All children completed their mile on 'Pancake Hill' and were cheered on by many parents and grandparents. Another example of sport for all making a positive difference in our school community.

Congratulations once again to all children who took part in this year’s two sports day events.  The determination, fair play and team spirit shown by every competitor was a pleasure to see and we are grateful to all those who came along to show their support.

For the first time this year, our KS2 children faced off in a dodgeball battle with Jupiter house coming out on top.  Meanwhile there were some star performances in the athletics events.  Arthur King won a host of gold medals in year 3 for while Ava Morgan was a double champion in year 4 (Long Jump and 50m Sprint).  Blaine Roberts made it onto the year 5 podium in every event, setting a new school record in the nerf throw and in year 6 Molly Bryant earned the title of fastest child in school with her great win in the 50m sprint alongside gold in the 600m and long jump.

Our younger children competed brilliantly in a range of team games as well as their track races and this year there were heats and grand finals for the first time.  Congratulations to our champion sprinters: Lewis Hyde, Harrison Pegler and Barnaby Sheppard.

Congratulations to Venus for winning the KS1 event and to Jupiter for winning both the KS2 event and the overall title this year.

Gloustershire County Cricket Day out July 2017

We took 30 of our keen young cricketers to a great day out at the Cheltenham Cricket Festival.  On a sunny day, we enjoyed watching some first class action between Gloucestershire and Glamorgan in front of a large crowd at the Cheltenham College ground.  The children took part in some great coaching drills led by Gloucestershire CC coaches and even had the opportunity to take to the field themselves during the lunch break.  A super day out!
