Year 6 separate...

The children in Oak and Maple classes are fortunate enough to be able to use the facilities at Mangotsfield Secondary School. As well as receiving expert tuition and a full-size laboratory, they also get to use the equipment (including the bunsen burners which always prove popular).

Safety goggles were issued as we decided what we needed to do first.	We separated the large solids by sieving.
We used filtering to separate the sand from the salt solution.	We heated the salt solution until the water evaporated and left just the salt.
