Slimbridge Visit Y6 2008
Year Six visited Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre as part of their Eco-Warriors topic. As part of the Science programme of study, we observed first-hand how different birds are adapted to their habitats.

| The swans were very pleased to make our aquaintance. I wouldn't stand too close if I were you! | There were a few black swans at the Centre. It was the first time that many of us had seen one but we soon made friends. Well, the food helped. |

| The geese soon discovered our stock of grain. I've heard they are used to guard the whiskey distilleries in Scotland! | Julie, one of the Centre's wardens, used masks and rope to show how all of the plants and animals are interdependent. |
