Term 6 - Minibeasts
We have been learning about minibeasts. We went on a minibeast hunt and found lots of small creatures in our garden. We thought about the different minibeasts and decided on some questions that we would like to research during our topic.

| We looked under rocks, behind logs and inside flower pots in search for different minibeasts. | We found snails and used the magnifying glass to watch them move around. | The ants were very small but they moved around very quickly. |

| Some of us made minibeasts using junk materials. We learnt that a butterflies wings are symmetrical. | Mrs Haines set us a challenge to see who could make the longest caterpillar using only 1 piece of paper, scissors and glue. We cut thin strips of paper and joined them together. | We learnt how spiders spin their webs. We enjoyed making our own spiders and webs using playdough. |
