Extra-curricular activities aim to help the development of learners according to their needs, potential, talents, and interests. Therefore, extra-curricular activities help broaden knowledge and improve the ability of learners, be it cognitive abilities, affective, and psychomotor. In addition, extracurricular activities are undertaken to develop the talents and interests of learners in the effort of full learner development.

Extra-curricular activities play a large part in the life of Mangotsfield CE Primary. We run many different clubs made possible due to the great generosity of staff and parents giving up their time to offer the children opportunities that might not otherwise be possible.

Each year we ask the children which clubs they would like to take part in and model our provision based on the outcomes as best we can.

We offer clubs at lunchtimes and after school that cover a wide range of interests and sporting opportunities.

Instrumental Tuition

Children have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument within school. These lessons are provided by Red Music and are paid for by parents. If you are interested in this option, please contact, our school office for more details.

Sporting Opportunities

Sporting opportunities give learners opportunities to be active which has many benefits on physical, social and mental health. Mangotsfield are proud holders of the platinum Schools Games Mark for its wide participation in both competitive and non-competitive sport.
