Diversity within the curriculum is ensuring the knowledge, themes and opportunities we provide through our curriculum are inclusive of the experiences and histories of those with protected characteristics. Our curriculum seeks to erase systemic barriers in our society through fairer and more equitable distribution of curriculum content. Our diverse curriculum allows young people:
- - to see and be seen in the curriculum
- - to hear ‘multiple co-existing narratives’ in subjects
- - to celebrate and respect all aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion
- - to understand how systemic barriers manifest for those with protected characteristics and intersectional identities
