The library serves as a key partner in supporting learning in all curriculum subjects and cross-curricular projects and is the heart of our school’s reading community. It is well stocked with a range of age-appropriate picture books, fiction, non-fiction, poetry and graphic novels aimed to support independent and teacher-led learning and aid the discovery of reading for pleasure and learning.
Learners will visit fortnightly for story time sessions and library lessons with our librarian, Miss Robson, and there will be opportunities for break and lunch clubs in KS2.
Here is the current timetable for library lessons:
EYFS – every other Thursday
Year 1 – every other Monday
Year 2 – every other Friday
Year 3 – every other Thursday
Year 4 – every other Monday
Year 5 – every other Monday
Year 6 – every other Friday
Our Online Library
Our ‘Online Library’ allows learners in Year 5 and 6 to explore our vast catalogue of books, and even write book reviews to be shared with their peers.
Click the link below to view your Library Account, look at the Library’s catalogue of books, reserve books and submit your book reviews too!
You will need to know your Library barcode number and password, which will be given to you by Miss Robson.
You can find more about the running of our library by reading our library guidance here.
