Welcome to the Year 1 home learning page!
While our school is closed, this is where you can find activities which will allow you to continue learning at home!
Your child has been given a pencil and exercise book where they can complete this work. If they have been off school this week, please feel free to use any notebook or paper you have at home. Alternatively, you can pick up an exercise book and pencil from the school office.
Children love routine and we have tried to keep our resources as close as possible to what we do in school. We have heard how much the children are looking forward to school with Mummy and Daddy - please feel free to break out the pink pens and stickers for some marking and feedback! (your child will love it!)
Please see our suggested timetable below. This reflects the structure the children are used to and offers what we feel is a balance between continued learning and blowing off steam.
We hope you are all staying safe and well and we look forward too seeing you again soon.
The Year 1 team.
We will upload a new set of resources each week. This will include English and maths lessons as well as ideas for science and creative learning activities. We hope you enjoy them and would love to hear about the work you are doing!
Here's the word document version for this week.
Here's the PowerPoint presentation for the 'Let's Classify' section of the creative resource pack

Here are some link to help you continue your home reading online. We hope you can find lots of interesting stories to enjoy!
It's lovely to see so many children reading on the Oxford Reading Buddy! If you want to move through the levels, make sure you complete the quizzes at the end. This sends your teacher a notification and lets them know you're ready to move up!
In order to support you with maths learning at home, we have created accounts for Numbots, a wonderful interactive games site where your child can practise and develop their maths skills.
The site is similar to Times Tables Rockstars, which you may be familiar with if you have older children, but focused on addition and subtraction.
Please see the guide for parents for login details
We have had a couple of enquiries regarding incorrect log in details. If you are having trouble logging in to your child's Numbots account, please try typing their username followed by 1 e.g. rebske1. The password will then still be the same (either wil, wal or hol depending on your child's class). If you are still experiencing difficulties, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and one of the Year 1 team will take a look at your child's account.
These videos have been created by English hubs and they are specifically aimed at year 1 pupils. We hope you enjoy them, they are designed for independent study by young children. All of our former phonics lessons can be found by clicking the link at the bottom.
There's always time for a story! We'll continue to upload videos here, we hope you enjoy them. For more great stories, check out the Reception and Year 2 pages.
